Cbank denies imposition of limits on cash withdrawal

MOSCOW, May 24 (PRIME) -- The central bank has denied imposition of limits on cash withdrawal and of a ban on premature closure of deposits, the regulator said in its Telegram channel late on Monday.

“There are no problems with ruble liquidity in Russia. No limits are to be introduced,” the regulator said.

Information appeared earlier on the internet that the central bank had sent letters to some credit organizations requiring limitation of withdrawal of time deposits to 1 million rubles a month and cash withdrawal through ATMs to 50,000 rubles, and a ban of early withdrawal of deposits.
